We should not be our surroundings.
What happened to us?
An open vessel, we thirst
Ready to learn beyond this village.

Beauty- a gift and a curse.
Confined to an image, shadowed by illusions
Limited options- the conclusion.

We are nurturers- capable
Providers, strong enough to survive.
Why are we neglected, forgotten?

We are reduced to nothing.
Opinions rejected, questions unanswered.
Take what’s offered, speak
When spoken to, forced to obey.

Adapt or be silent, refuse and be restrained.
We will stand as one and fight until there is change.
